Shitty Snowball

I'm sitting here nearly 8 weeks after my last post, wondering how the shit has time moved so quickly. I apologise for the lack of activity on here in recent weeks. Let's just say things haven't exactly been going well.

Within days of 2018 beginning, something shitty happened and then like a shitty snowball falling from the top of a mountain, shitty things kept building up and I found myself not being in the right frame of mind to write anything and on some occasions, with no time to write anything, anyway.

As you may recall from my previous post, I mentioned some plans and ideas I had for the blog as it enters it's 10th anniversary year and you might have noticed, Videos Of The Week has sort of stopped since Christmas. That wasn't quite the plan. I had started it as a bit of an experiment - a sort of weird, improvised exercise in discipline... sort of - and decided to keep it going for a little while to see what happened, but as Christmas came around, I was thinking of bringing it to an end early in 2018, but in a proper way, with a bonus final one. 

In the end, I had no time to do one the week after Christmas and then before I could do one at the start of January, the initial shitty thing happened and I just wasn't in the right mood to continue with it. Sorry about that. It was fun to do, but I had started to realise that it was not really what this blog is for and life would often prevent me from putting together a VOTW post that I was actually happy with. 

Also in my previous post, I mentioned making some cosmetic changes to the blog. I still want to do this, but it'll probably be a little later than planned. I really wanted to do it for next month, which is the actual anniversary month, but with the shitty snowball still rolling on, the redesign will have to wait a little bit longer.

Yes, that snowball hasn't stopped yet and no, I'm not going to go into detail here for various reasons - partly personal but also because it'll probably bore you all to fuckery. There are one or two things that I will bring up on here at some point, but I'm going to let things settle, first. 

I really do apologise for the lack of posts recently and also for the rather straight-laced, mundane nature of this one, but I just wanted to bring things up to date. Needless to say, I'm not entirely impressed with 2018, so far...
