For myself, my family and some of my friends, it really hasn't been a good one. Lots of losses, heartache, generally shit luck and a handful of people showing a rather nasty side to themselves. Alas, I'm not going to get too personal on here, otherwise it'll just turn into Jeremy Kyle 2. Or Number twos, whatever suits you.
Despite the really tough times, there has been some good. I've met some truly lovely people as well as Bill Bailey, who used the word "thusly" and I've also met royalty, which is something I never thought would happen, but most importantly to me, a lot of bloody lovely people who I am incredibly lucky to know have been very, very VERY supportive during the shitty times. To all of you (you know who you are), a big massive thank you...
***THANK YOU***
(Just imagine it's bigger than that)
As we welcome in 2015 and hope that it brings good things... better things, I would also like to thank you all for reading this blog, as it has been getting loads of page views of late and people have been saying lots of lovely things about it. It really means a lot and I'm grateful for the feedback and for actually looking at the bloody thing.
Finally, I want to wish you all a lovely, lucky, wonderfully Happy New Year. May everything be brilliant.
Finally, finally, after a year in which we lost the trouser-destroyingly wonderful Rik Mayall, I leave the last words to him, via his adverts for Nintendo in the early 90s, which I had shamefully forgotten about until You Tube user "Applemask" put them together in one video. Rik, we still miss you, you bastard.
Happy New 2015...
